I think as time goes by many artists learn to cope with the loneliness. I think it just takes time to understand that it’s necessary to the creative process. It’s also worth it as long as we’re producing. This is not to say we want to be alone all the time. But when that creative flow kicks in we need that space to make magic.

People don't judge art enough. When everything is called nice and great, those words lose meaning. But the hole in aesthetics that we have today is a symptom of a deeper problem with philosophy. So throw stones in subjectivists and mystics, and call all religions evil. Maybe then people would become a bit smarter and we'll have more good art.

I watch about 5 or 6 films a day. Anything made before the 1960s is usually OK. The 40s & 50s being the best. Everything made after the mid 60s tends to be garbage with several exceptions like apocalypse now, a few dollars more. The terminator films. Bourne series. Matrix etc. but far too many are completely unwatchable. and as you get closer to today's films they become unwatchable. Total reliance on the big bang theory. CGI. explosions. Car crashes. Ridiculous gun fights. No story worth mentioning. I'm amazed they get funded TBH. I think to myself who gave these kids a camera and a budget. Why do directors and writers not watch film like the third man. Citizen Kane. Giant. And learn how it's done. Unless they're just not up to the job. I know people who are useless at woodwork so they don't hang doors. Perhaps Hollywood employs the wrong people now. It's who you know now not what you know gets you work now. That's why so many hairdressers. Interior designers and flower arrangers are now actors. Who you know ! I'd say 90% of old films are worth watching and about 20% of new films are worth watching, since 2010 it's become even worse. Netflix coincided with the worst years of movies. Problem linked to the advent of netflix, I don't know.. but it isn't helping with the films and TV series it's making😢

This reminds me of this one King of the Hill episode, where Kahn tells the story of a man who was running away from a tiger, only to fall off a cliff of a mountain, he barely holds on to a tree branch growing from the side of the mountain, but now he can't climb up or let go because there's death on either side. In that moment, he notices a strawberry growing on the side of the branch, he decides to eat it, and it's the most delicious strawberry he's ever eaten.

Recipe for great climax - PLANTS and PAYOFFS. You don't want to do things "unexpectedly" as a gimic or a "twist" or "banana" these things are gimics or "gotcha moments" that audience often hates -------- plant your seeds, don't make widows, don't make orphans. Learn your foundations people. The reason why Frodo doesn't destroy the ring and keeps it for himself - is not because of 3rd unexpected element "banana" , it's because of the constant MOTIFs running throughout the films or greed and self serving interests. Cause and Effect is the MOST POWERFUL TOOL. This is why the climax in Game of Thrones is HORRENDOUS. Because throughout the series they build it up Jon Snow vs the Night king - and then Ayra to steals the death was a HUGE mistake. Cersei's death by cave-in (should've been Ayra Stark). The 180 degree flip of Daenerys or the "Bran has a better story" BS. Why the last season of GoT is considered the worst writing in TV history. And lets not even discuss The Last Jedi................... These are ALL failures because people use "bananas"
